TUNA Successfully Completes 168-Hour Trial Operation of Desulfurization Project for Huaxu Metal's 60,000-Ton Nickel Metal Project in Indonesia

Amid the global industrial transformation driven by green development principles, TUNA has once again demonstrated its leadership in the environmental protection sector with outstanding capabilities! TUNA undertook the desulfurization project for the "Huaxu Metal's 60,000-Ton Nickel Metal Project" in the Indonesia Tsingshan Weda Bay Industrial Park, which has been highly prioritized by leadership from the outset. Chairman Jin Meng even personally visited the project site to observe and provide guidance, injecting strong momentum into the project's progress.
With comprehensive resource support from the company and the efficient execution of the professional project team from the Overseas Business Division, the desulfurization system of this project successfully completed a 168-hour trial operation from 15:00 on April 7, 2025, to 15:00 on April 14, 2025. During the trial operation, the system operated stably, with a nickel-iron converter flue gas flow rate of 530,157 m3/h. The average daily emission concentration of sulfur dioxide (SO?) at the desulfurization outlet was as low as 96.9 mg/Nm3, far exceeding the target of ≤ 200mg/Nm3. The dust emission concentration was only 11.5 mg/Nm3, and the average desulfurization efficiency reached an impressive 98.2%. The equipment operated reliably, with all parameters closely aligned with the project's design targets. According to online CEMS monitoring data, the emission concentrations of all pollutants fully complied with the industrial park's environmental requirements.
The success of the Huaxu Metal Desulfurization Project marks another milestone breakthrough for TUNA in the field of flue gas desulfurization for Indonesia's high-grade nickel-iron smelting industry, following the smooth operation of the Desulfurization Project for 2×250MW+2×380MW Coal-fired Power Plant Construction Project (Units 5#～8#) in the Indonesia Tsingshan Weda Bay Industrial Park. This achievement signifies that TUNA's applications in desulfurization and denitrification for multiple industries, including coal-fired power plants and nickel-iron smelting in Indonesia, have gained recognition from clients, providing the "TUNA Solution" for environmental upgrades in Indonesia's power and metallurgical sectors.
