Recently, TUNA successfully completed the delivery of the first set of plate-type denitration catalysts for a 2×660MW coal-fired power plant in India, marking a significant breakthrough for China's high-end environmental protection equipment in the South Asian market. This project is not only the first demonstration project in India to adopt China's independent plate-type denitration technology but also a new model of green energy cooperation between China and India.
As the world's third-largest electricity consumer, India relies on coal for over 70% of its power generation. However, the high ash content and complex composition of local coal pose severe challenges for environmental protection equipment. Leveraging its self-developed high-activity plate-type catalyst technology, TUNA optimized the formula and structural design to successfully overcome the issues of clogging and wear in high-ash environments. Rigorous on-site inspections confirmed that the product performance met 100% of the standards, with denitration efficiency consistently exceeding 90% and NOx emission concentrations reduced by over 40% compared to Indian standards, providing a "Chinese solution" for achieving ultra-low emissions locally.
TUNA is dedicated to integrated flue gas denitration technologies, continuously advancing its innovation capabilities to transition from being a follower to a leader in the industry. The company has developed unique competitiveness in solving complex operational challenges, offering full-chain services from R&D to delivery. As a prime example of China's environmental technology going global, the company has achieved the first large-scale application of Chinese plate-type denitration technology in a major power plant on the South Asian subcontinent, promoting the alignment of China’s environmental protection equipment standards with international markets. The successful implementation of this project lays the foundation for expanding into Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern, and other markets, further demonstrating the competitiveness of China’s environmental technology in the global transition toward cleaner energy.
